The Gordon Pinsent Studio...

DOs...

•  Enjoy this wonderful studio that ATP has put at its members' disposal.

•  Please be courteous with staff and punctual in arriving and leaving.

•  Leave the studio as you would like to find it: clean and tidy.

•  Do IMMEDIATELY REPORT any damage or missing equipment
prior to use.

•  Turn off the lights and equipment when you leave, unless otherwise directed.

•  ALWAYS use new cassettes when recording your performance.

•  IF YOU MUST tilt the camera, twist the red taped handle counterclockwise and you MUST have one hand under the front lens to avoid it banging down. Tighten before use.

•  MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT.

DON'Ts

•  Do not bring liquids or food in the studio.

•  Do not smoke in the building or the studio, not even ‘prop' smoking.

•  Do not move the camera: the camera can (ONLY) be zoomed in and out and tilted up and down. The performance is the key element here. If technical pirouettes are of interest to you, (low camera angles, overhead shots, etc.), then please avail yourself of another studio; this is not the purpose of the Gordon Pinsent Studio.

•  Do not shift the lights around: Check the monitor to see which of the three lights you wish to use; less for dramatic effect, more for basic lighting and for dark skinned performers.

•  Do not keep the monitor turned to the performer as it is distracting.

•  Do not bring a lot of props: they distract from the performance.
KEEP IT SIMPLE.

•  Don't clutter the studio with coats, boots, briefcases, etc. Leave them outside.

•  Don't bring unnecessary items; ACTRA Toronto Performers is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

•  Don't touch any of the preset buttons on this camera. Fancy, interpretive, artistically unique work is for another studio, not the Gordon Pinsent Studio.

Failure to respect these rules may result in loss of studio privilege.

Members are responsible for any and all damage to studio and equipment.

Read rule # 1 and smile. This is about actors helping actors.

Thanks for helping us.
