Becoming a Performer

The EIC was formed in early 1996 to deal with the problem of unethical talent agents. Their work grew from the experience of AMIS, The Acting and Modelling Information Service, an industry watchdog which runs an information hotline and website about the business practices of talent and modelling agents. AMIS was established in 1995 by entertainment and fashion industry professionals who were disturbed by the exploitation of the public by unscrupulous agencies. AMIS is at (416) 977-3832 or www.amisontario.com.

The EIC promotes a code of conduct for talent and modelling agents who want to run their businesses in an ethical manner. Click here for the EIC Code of Ethical Conduct.
