ACTRA reaches agreement with producers on block shooting
August 7, 2007 – ACTRA has reached an agreement with producers regarding the Block Shooting issue in the 2007-2009 Independent Production Agreement (IPA). This is good news for ACTRA members.
TV series that are block shooting will be able to elect the 30 Background option as in the 2004-2006 agreement. Stand-ins will be paid on a daily basis.
TV series that do not want to avail themselves of the 30 Background will still be able to block shoot and pay Background Performers per episode as has been the practice in Toronto and as was contained in the 2004-2006 agreement.
