ACTRA Toronto members win Young Artist Awards in Los Angeles

May 28, 2007 – Two ACTRA Toronto members won Young Artist Awards in Los Angeles in March: Tajja Isen and Matthew Knight. Tajja won the Best Performance in a voice-over role for a young actress for her role in Jane and the Dragon. Matthew won the award for Leading Young Actor, Best Performance in a TV movie, miniseries or special for Candles on Bay Street. A number of ACTRA Toronto members were among the nominees as well including Maya Ritter and Andrew Chalmers for Molly: American Girl on the Homefront, Niamh Wilson for The House Next Door, Michael Seater, Ashley Leggat, Daniel Magder, Jordan Todosey and Ariel Waller for Life With Derek, Andrew Chalmers, Melanie Leishman, Demetrius Joyette, Kayla Perlmutter for Darcy’s Wild Life, Jacob Kraemer for Naturally Sadie and Jamie Johnston for Degrassi: The Next Generation.
