The Membership Training Intensive

ACTRA Toronto works hard to provide our members with on-set protection, industry advocacy and related services that support our members’ professional lives. In addition, we have a number of professional development initiatives that give our members opportunities to work on the craft of acting and learn more about the business.

Designed to give new ACTRA members the basics, the two-and-a-half day Member Training Intensive is open to any ACTRA Toronto Full or Apprentice member. Topics covered include the business aspect of being an actor, audition protocols, an overview of ACTRA’s collective agreements and how ACTRA works for you.

Completion of the Member Training Intensive is a mandatory requirement for Full ACTRA membership.

Time Commitment

The course is offered at ACTRA Toronto’s offices at 625 Church Street. .

Weekend sessions run over two-and-a-half days, requiring Friday evening from 5:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. plus Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some weekday sessions are also available.

Who Can Attend

The course is offered to ACTRA Apprentice members and Full ACTRA members. Apprentice members receive one credit toward Full ACTRA membership upon completion of the course.

Cost

The course costs $200. Participants must register in advance, and payment must be received in full before you can attend the course.
