You Are Here (feature)

Brainy, inventive and delightfully playful, You Are Here is a smartly crafted commentary on our modern day existence. Comprised of interconnected mini-narratives, the film's characters are trapped in bizarre social experiments of their own making. Runtime: 78 minutes

Above the Knee (short)

Director: Greg Atkins
Previous short films by director Greg Atkins, Build (TIP '04) and Teenage Girl (TIP '07), both premiered at TIFF.

The Old Ways (short)

Director: Michael Vass
Michael Vass participated in TIFF’s Talent Lab in 2006 and has contributed to film magazines Cineaction and Machete. Earlier short films include Fillidor (06), Skinheads (06) and Umbrellas (TIP '08).

The Camera and Christopher Merk (short)

Director: Brandon Cronenberg
His student film, Broken Tulips (08), played as part of the Festival’s Student Film Showcase.

Animal Control (short)

Director - Writer - Producer: Kire Paputts
Kire Paputts born in Toronto and a graduate of Ryerson University film program and is co-founder of the arts collective Made By Other People. Animal Control (10) is his latest short film.

A Beginner's Guide to Endings (feature)

Director – Screenwriter: Jonathan Sobol
Jonathan Sobol was selected as one of Canada’s “Ten to Watch” by Playback magazine in 2006. His first
screenplay, Citizen Duane (07), debuted at TIFF. Soon after, he directed the short Everything is Connected (TIP '07), produced in conjunction with the CBC. He has also written a graphic novel based on his screenplay for
A Beginner's Guide to Endings (10), which is his feature debut.

Good Neighbours (feature)

Director: Jacob Tierny
Jacob Tierny wrote and directed the short film Dad (02) and the features Twist (03) and The Trotsky (09) – both of which screened at the Festival – as well as Good Neighbours (10).

MODRA (feature)

Director: Ingrid Veninger
Ingrid Veninger was born in Bratislava, Slovakia and raised in Canada. She is an actor, writer, producer and director. Her directing credits include the short films Mama (05), Hotel Vladivostok (06, co-director), Everything is Love and Fear (06, co-director) and the feature Only (08, co-director). MODRA (10) is her solo feature directing debut.

Oliver Sherman (feature)

Director - Screenwriter: Ryan Redford
Ryan Redford was born in Vancouver and graduated from the film department at York University. He received an apprenticeship in directing from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. His short films include Murmur (00), The Unstrung Ear (01), Song of Wreckage (TIP '03) and Lake (TIP '05). Oliver Sherman (10) is his feature film debut.
