Virtual Auditions: Zoom, self-tapes, and standards

Self-tapes are here to stay, and Zoom auditions are gaining in popularity. How do we as performers navigate this ‘new-normal’ successfully, and best present ourselves to casting?

This 90 min session, hosted by Apprentice Caucus Chair, Victoria Murdoch, features Casting Director Jesse Griffiths working with ACTRA Toronto member George Alevizos in a practice audition, and is followed by a Q & A with Jesse where you can get answers to those burning virtual audition questions. You’ll also see an informative presentation by ACTRA Industry Relations Specialists Jenn Paul & Taisa Dekker on the progress of the Auditions Standards Initiative. All about Sort Of: Meet the Cast and Creatives of the new groundbreaking CBC and HBO show
