Toronto – ACTRA Toronto is pleased to announce the nominees for the Outstanding Performance – Female Voice and Male Voice awards. The ACTRA Awards in Toronto will be broadcast on YouTube on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 8 p.m. EST.
 
Nominees for Outstanding Performance – Female Voice:

“Ontario’s award-winning animation is exported around the world, and the characters created by our talented voice performers are adored by children and adults,” says ACTRA Toronto President David Gale. “I’m so proud to see that two of this year’s voice nominees are minors. For years ACTRA has worked hard to secure income protection and workplace safeguards for minors, including the passage of the Protecting Child Performers Act in Ontario in 2015.”
 
During the online broadcast, Tara Sky will present Jani Lauzon with ACTRA Toronto’s 2021 Award of Excellence.
 
The nominees for the on-camera Outstanding Performance – Female and Male awards and the Members’ Choice Series Ensemble award will be announced soon.

ACTRA Toronto is the largest organization within ACTRA, representing over 15,000 of Canada’s 27,000 professional performers working in recorded media in Canada. An advocate for Canadian culture since 1943, ACTRA is a member-driven union that continues to secure rights and respect for the work of professional performers.
