A census commissioned by ACTRA Toronto and ACTRA Ottawa with funding provided by Ontario Creates shows that the average earnings of Ontario ACTRA screen performers are not only substantially lower than Ontario workers in all industries, they are also significantly lower than other Ontario workers in the arts, entertainment and recreation industry.

The Ontario ACTRA Census allows us to celebrate and promote the successes of our Ontario film, TV, digital media and radio industry at home and abroad. It provides the accurate and comprehensive map to guide our efforts to make our industry and the stories that we create more representative of Canadian society which, we believe, is not only the right thing to do but also the key to growing our audience and our business overall.
