TAWC (Toronto ACTRA Women’s Committee) has put together a masterclass workshop with casting director Larissa Mair, Canadian casting director for Hardy Boys (Season 2) (YTV/HULU), Kids in the Hall (Amazon), For the Record (NBC Universal). See Larissa’s full bio below.
This is a great opportunity to hear Larissa share fundamentals, tips and do’s and don’ts to improve your Zoom auditions.
Attendees will gain practical experience as Larissa guides pre-selected participants through a Zoom audition and provides technical and performance feedback. The event will end with a Q&A.

About Larissa Mair
Larissa Mair has cast many feature films, television series, movies, documentaries, animation, and musicals. She recently finished being the Canadian Casting director for a new Disney+ movie called Spin. Currently, she is the Canadian casting director of Hardy Boys (Season 2) (YTV/HULU), Kids in the Hall (Amazon), For the Record (NBC Universal), Overlord and the Underwoods, Ghostwriter (Season 2) (Apple +), many movies for Hallmark and Lifetime, The CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival 2021, and an animation series called Summer Memories. She just finished the Canadian casting for a new series called The Parker Andersons/ Amelia Parker (BYUTv).
Larissa recently finished casting projects such as Endlings (Season 2) (CBC/HULU), Tallboyz (Season 2)(CBC), Odd Squad Mobile Unit (Season 4) (PBS & TVO), The Young Line (CBC Kids), Lucas The Spider (Warner Brothers), and Locked Down (Season 1 & 2) (YouTube). Previous credits include Tallboyz (Season 1) (CBC), Ghostwriter (Season 1) (Apple +), Endlings (Season 1) (CBC/HULU), Secret Society of Second Born Royals (Disney +), Holly Hobbie (Season 1 & 2 (Hulu/ American Greetings), Odd Squad Mobile Unit (Season 1, 2, & 3) (PBS & TVO), Detention Adventure (Season 1 & 2) (CBC), the feature film The Vegas JA Productions Inc., and the feature film Nightriders, Riviera (Series, Toronto Casting) starring Julia Stiles, Astronaut (Feature Film) starring Richard Dreyfuss and Colm Feore, From The Vine Came starring Joe Pantoliano, Wendy Crewson, Marco Leonardi, Miltons Secret (Feature Film), starring Donald Sutherland, Raising Expectations (Series) starring Jason Priestly and Molly Ringwald, and Degrassi: Next Class (Series), Clara (Feature film) had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
